An FO: Daybreak Shawl (in Tosh! Tosh! Tosh!)

As I've mentioned quite a few times now, I made it a resolution to knit something new each month. March's goal was to knit a shawl, which I've never done before. It seems like I'm the last person to jump on the shawl bandwagon and I can't understand why it has taken me to long. Then came the arrival of the Tosh (Tosh! Tosh!) at the shop and the rest is history.

This...was a lot of knitting. And more purling, which took FOREVER since I'm still not comfortable purling continentally. Still, I love it. And can't wait to make more shawls.

And an added shot of my friend Zach hamming it up.

Also, it's my 23rd birthday tomorrow (eek), so stay tuned for a special birthday sale :)

  1. What a beautiful shawl! And good on you for learning to purl continental - I still haven't jumped that hurdle.
    HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

  2. Thank you :)
Well, I may know how to purl continentally, but I usually purl English style. It's still so awkward for me.

And thanks for the birthday wish! I have to spend all day at work tomorrow...should probably get my fun in tonight :)

  6. Julie: Aw, thank you :)

Rachel: Yes! It feels so lovely in the TML. Oh man and any stash diving with tosh involved must mean a good stash :) The bulk of my stash is acrylic blends from my pre-lys days. And thanks for the birthday wishes!

Playful: I don't think I would have such a beef with purling if I was more comfortable purling continental style. I guess I just need to force myself more.
