March 17 - April 1 2011
This...was a lot of knitting. And more purling, which took FOREVER since I'm still not comfortable purling continentally. Still, I love it. And can't wait to make more shawls.
And an added shot of my friend Zach hamming it up.
Also, it's my 23rd birthday tomorrow (eek), so stay tuned for a special birthday sale :)
What a beautiful shawl! And good on you for learning to purl continental - I still haven't jumped that hurdle.
ReplyDeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Thank you :)
ReplyDeleteWell, I may know how to purl continentally, but I usually purl English style. It's still so awkward for me.
And thanks for the birthday wish! I have to spend all day at work tomorrow...should probably get my fun in tonight :)
beautiful!! looks so pretty on you.
ReplyDeleteI'm a MadTosh junkie, and the Daybreak has been on my radar for a while. I sense a stash dive is upcoming!
ReplyDeleteand happy early birthday :D
I made a daybreak- yours is lovey but I agree about the knitting and purling. I got so impatient!
ReplyDeleteJulie: Aw, thank you :)
ReplyDeleteRachel: Yes! It feels so lovely in the TML. Oh man and any stash diving with tosh involved must mean a good stash :) The bulk of my stash is acrylic blends from my pre-lys days. And thanks for the birthday wishes!
Playful: I don't think I would have such a beef with purling if I was more comfortable purling continental style. I guess I just need to force myself more.
